Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research originated as École de Médicine de Pondichérry established by the French Government in the year 1823. This medical school was converted into Dhanvantari Medical College at the time of de facto transfer of Pondicherry to Government of India. This Medical College was later upgraded into Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER).

Educational Qualification Required : B.Sc. degree in Nursing from a recognized University or equivalent; Minimum 6 months experience of working in a transplant unit or Training in transplant coordinator work and /or Grief counselling.

Bachelor degree in any subject (Preferably in biological sciences, Paramedical subjects or Allied Medical Sciences) with experience or Training in
• Transplant coordinator work and /or
• Grief counselling and /or
• Organ Transplantation Programs.
Preferable qualifications:
Master Degree in Social Work (or) Psychology (or) Sociology (or) Social Science (or) Public Health with experience or Training in transplant coordinator work and /or Grief counselling and /or Organ Transplantation Programs. Should be able to speak and write fluently in Tamil. Should be able and willing to workout of regular office working hours.
Experience Required : NIL.
Age Limit : 30 years
