Indian Navy invited applications from unmarried eligible candidates for grant of Short Service Commission in Executive Branch viz General Service/Hydro/IT and Technical Branch viz General Service/Submarine/Naval Architecture of the Indian Navy for Jun 17 Course at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala. Educational/Technical Qualification & Experience:
General Service/Hydrography Cadre: candidate should have BE/B.Tech in any discipline from a recognised university.
IT: candidate should have BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/Computer Engg/IT or BSc (IT) or M.Tech (Computer Science) or BCA/MCA.
Engineering Branch (General Service): candidate should have Engineering degree in Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechtronics, Industrial & Production, Metallurgy, Aeronautical/Aerospace & BS Marine Engg.
Electrical Branch (General Service): candidate should have Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, Tele Communication, Instrumentation, Instrumentation and Control Engg, Electronics and Instrumentation, Electronics and Communication, Power Engineering, Control System & Power Electronics.
Engineering Branch (Submarine): candidate should have Engineering degree in Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechtronics, Industrial & Production, Metallurgy, Aeronautical/Aerospace, BS Marine Engg., Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, Automation & Robotics, Industrial Engg. & Management & Production Engg.
Electrical Branch (Submarine): candidate should have Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, Control, Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Power Engg, Electronics & Communication, Control System & Power Electronics.
Naval Architecture: candidate should have Engineering degree in Mechanical, Civil, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Metallurgy & Naval Architecture.
Age Limit:
Candidates age must be between 19 ½ to 25 Years, born between 02 Jul 1992 & 01 Jan 1998 both dates inclusive.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Interview. The interview is of two stages. Stage I test, consisting of Intelligence Tests, Picture Perception and Discussion Tests will be conducted on first day of arrival at SSB. Candidate who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day. Stage II Tests comprising of Psychological Testing, Group Testing and Interview will last for 4 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical examination.
