Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) was conceived of in the year 1969 when a team surveyed various locations in India before selecting Cochin for the launch of the first Greenfield Shipbuilding Yard in the country. The yard facilities in the first phase were completed by 1982. The yard was designed and constructed under technical collaboration with M/s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (M.H.I), Japan. The company was legally incorporated in the year 1972.

Eligibility for Deputy General Manager (Ship repair – ISRF) – Degree in Mechanical / Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University. Minimum of 18 years of post qualification managerial experience.
Eligibility for Deputy General Manager (Ship Repair Commercial) – Degree in Mechanical / Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University. Minimum of 18 years of post qualification managerial experience.
Eligibility for Deputy General Manager (Marketing) – Degree in Mechanical / Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University. Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Business Administration with Marketing Management as specialization would be an added advantage. Minimum of 18 years of post qualification managerial experience.
Eligibility for Assistant General Manager (Ship repair – ISRF) – Degree in Mechanical / Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University. Minimum of 15 years of post qualification managerial experience.
Eligibility for Assistant General Manager (Basic Design) – Degree in Naval Architecture with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University. Minimum of 15 years of post qualification managerial experience.
Eligibility for Assistant General Manager (Mechanical) – Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University. Minimum of 15 years of post qualification managerial experience.
Eligibility for Senior Manager (Mechanical) – Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University. Minimum of 10 years of post qualification managerial experience.
Eligibility for Senior Manager (Basic Design) – Degree in Naval Architecture with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University. Minimum of 10 years of post qualification managerial experience.
Eligibility for Senior Manager (Legal) – Degree from a recognized University and LLB Degree (3 years or 5 years) from a University or Institute recognized by Bar Council. Minimum 10 years post qualification managerial experience in handling legal matters.
Eligibility for Medical Officer – MBBS Degree from a recognized University and valid registration in Indian Medical Council or approved Medical Councils of the States. Minimum five years experience as a medical practitioner preferably in an industrial establishment/ ESI Corporation.
